Smart Tek of Long Island, Inc. ("Smart Tek," "we," "us") respects the privacy of our clients, prospective clients, and website visitors. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect information you provide when you request a consultation, contact us, or otherwise communicate with Smart Tek of Long Island — including your name, email address, phone number, property address, and project details. We also collect basic technical information automatically when you visit our site (browser type, device type, referring page, pages viewed).
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the information you provide to respond to inquiries, schedule site visits, prepare proposals, deliver and support our installations, and follow up about our services. We do not sell personal information to third parties.
TEXT MESSAGING (SMS)
If you opt in to receive text messages, we collect your mobile number and a record of your consent (date, time, and the form you used) and use them only to send the messages you agreed to. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP; reply HELP for help. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Text messages are only sent to people who have opted in. We do not sell, rent or share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION
We may share information with trusted vendors who help us operate our business (for example, scheduling tools, email providers, and accounting software) and with manufacturers or sub-trades involved in your specific project. We may also disclose information when required by law. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
SERVICE PROVIDERS WE USE
We rely on a small number of service providers to run our website and communicate with you: website hosting and network delivery (Lovable and Cloudflare); our database for storing inquiries (Lovable Cloud); email delivery of inquiry notifications (Lovable email); web fonts (Google Fonts, which receives your browser's IP address when fonts load); our AI phone and text receptionist (Retell AI); and text message delivery (Twilio). These providers process information only to provide services to us and are not permitted to sell it. We do not currently use third-party analytics or advertising trackers on this site.
COOKIES & ANALYTICS
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences and to measure how the site is used. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site may not function as intended.
DATA RETENTION
We retain inquiry, project, and service records for as long as needed to support active clients, comply with our legal obligations, and improve our services. You may request that we update or remove your information at any time.
DATA PROTECTION
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical steps to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% protected, but we work to safeguard the information you entrust to us.
YOUR NEW YORK PRIVACY & DATA SAFEGUARDS
We maintain reasonable safeguards for private information consistent with New York's SHIELD Act, and will notify affected individuals as required by law in the event of a data breach.
DO NOT TRACK
Our site does not currently respond to Do Not Track browser signals.
YOUR CHOICES
You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by replying to any email from us or contacting us through our contact form. To request access, correction, or deletion of your information, use the same form.
CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Our services are intended for adult homeowners and businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
