TERMS OF SERVICE

ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By using this website or engaging Smart Tek of Long Island, Inc. ('Smart Tek') for design, installation, or support services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or our services.
SCOPE OF SERVICES
Smart Tek provides smart home integration, audio/video, networking, surveillance, lighting and shade control, outdoor entertainment, and commercial AV services. The specific scope, deliverables, equipment, and price for any project are governed by the written proposal or work order signed by both parties — those documents control over anything stated on this website.
ESTIMATES & PROPOSALS
Proposals are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Pricing is subject to change if site conditions, scope, or manufacturer pricing change between proposal and installation. Deposits and milestone payments are non-refundable once equipment has been ordered or labor has been scheduled.
WARRANTIES
Workmanship is warranted for one year from the date of substantial completion. Manufactured equipment is covered by the original manufacturer's warranty. Smart Tek will assist with warranty claims at no labor charge during the workmanship warranty period; labor and travel to facilitate warranty claims after that period are billable.
SMARTCARE SERVICE PLANS
SmartCare service plans are subject to a separate plan document. Plans renew annually unless cancelled in writing with at least 30 days' notice prior to the renewal date.

CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Clients are responsible for providing safe site access, adequate electrical power, internet service, and timely decisions during the project. Delays caused by other trades, change orders, or site readiness may affect schedule and cost.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Smart Tek is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data, business interruption, or loss of use. Our total liability for any claim arising out of services is limited to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content on this website — including text, photography, designs, and graphics — is owned by Smart Tek or used with permission. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use it without prior written consent.
THIRD-PARTY LINKS
Our site may link to third-party websites (for example, manufacturer brand pages). Smart Tek is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or policies of those external sites.
WEBSITE USE

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Suffolk County, New York.
